When somebody ask me how to choose the right name for a business, I usually answer:
- it must be short;
- it must be evocative;
- it must be in line with mission and vision of the business.
Anyway, I know these three tips are not enough.
As I said in a previous post Each of us is creative … just know it!
For this reason I want to share with you the my way to find the right name.
Suppose we want to find out the name of a company in the field of green energy for example solar.
Here’s how: take a blank sheet of paper and put in the center a very evocative image for photovoltaics and then begin to draw everything that comes to mind.. as I did, take a look!

You can see the water cycle, the sunglasses, a satellite, a ripe apple, an AA battery, the moon and so on.
What I did? I tryed to make associations between objects and I wrote, on the top right corner, some names that came to my mind.
What I like? RipenRay is my preferred.
Which one do you prefer? For the most rated name I will make a logo! Write it into the comment section.

All these names are hard to spell for the average person. Pick a simpler one
My strategy for naming things are to combine two words together.
Solargy is simple and tons of meaning. I prefer solargy instead of ripenray. Good luck cristian.
